THE NEXT STAR!
EMERGING ARTIST STAGE
* New this year - now open to all ages!
Friday August 25th
Since 2014, Lucknow's Music in the Fields has partnered with the Country Music Association of Ontario (CMAO) to provide even more electric talent to the festival. During the spring, the CMAO seeks out a rising star in Ontario to represent them here in Lucknow and wow the crowd with everything they have. The CMAO actively serves emerging artists in the province by providing strategies and advice on how to make it in the starlit world of country music. The 2017 CMAO Spotlight Night artist will be chosen later in the spring of 2017.
CMAO Spotlight Night - Sponsored by the Country Music Association of Ontario
Past performers: Sacha (2016), Shea Dupuy (2015), Emily Reid (2014)
Saturday August 26th
Every spring, Lucknow's Music in the Fields seeks out the best up and coming artists from throughout Ontario and invites them to apply to play in front of a crowd of thousands at the festival. Bands submit their best videos and we give our online fans a chance to vote for their favourite. Two of the top picks are chosen to rock the Emerging Artist Stage during the show on Saturday, including immediately before the headliner for the lucky winner with the most fan votes overall! Good luck!
Emerging Artist Showdown - Sponsored in part by the Howick Mutual Insurance Company
Past runner-up performers: Buck Twenty (2016), Eric Ethridge (2015), Brooklyn Roebuck (2014), The Walters Twins (2013), Kerosene Creek (2012)
